This isn’t Gaza. This is Jerusalem.

Israeli security forces just uncovered a 25-metre terror tunnel packed with explosives and heavy weapons beneath an East Jerusalem village.

Apparently the “root cause” has learned how to use reinforced concrete.

Imagine if this had been discovered under London, Paris or New York. It would dominate every front page for weeks. In Jerusalem? It’ll probably get less coverage than someone’s pronouns.

This is why Israel carries out security operations. Not because Israelis enjoy checkpoints. Not because soldiers wake up thinking, “How can we inconvenience people today?” They do it because terrorists keep digging tunnels instead of foundations for schools.

Thank God for the men and women of Israel’s security forces. The best counter-terrorism stories are the ones that never become mass funerals.
